If you are a regular visitor to this website, I trust you like the new look. It has taken considerable effort to develop a new look. One difficulty of running a family history website is judging the delicate balance between researching Rowdens vs. updating the website. The website creates amazing connections with people who you would never meet in any other circumstance and I am particularly indebted to a number of regular visitors who have helped recreate the Rowden connections you will find on the site.

I would have liked to introduce a number of new features at the same time as the new look but time has got the better of me. It was more important to set up the new look and then go back to add on the extra refinements. I have tried to enhance the look and provide a framework for more information whist maintaining clean lines and easy navigation. However, if you were expecting a little more, please be patient; they're on their way. The plans include:

• a Profile facility providing better connectivity for everyone (now included - see top menu)
• a facility for showing more information about those in long past generations (coming soon)
• an improved image gallery
• census information from the 19th century (now included - see side menu)
• Rowden Coats of Arms
• and more...

One last word for this page... if you are confused because the new look doesn't work as it should or it's just not looking right, please let me know. I am a self-taught website designer who likes things to work well. Lob me an email if something needs fixing...
